aaahhhhh so there is this thing at SCAD called practicum where basically if you are taking certain Performing Arts or Production Design classes you have to work on the crew of the school shows for a number of hours depending on your major. For your perusal: an absolutely wonderful Time Magazine article about fanfiction. Legit the best analysis of fandom by a (presumably) non-fannish person I've ever read. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, for serious.

Today is a quiet day, as it usually is, because my extended family has the fine holiday tradition of living-too-far-away-from-us-to-get-together-for-holidays, although this year we do have an aunt and uncle coming.
